Louisiana Waterfowl Hunting & Lodging

Check out this short clip below for a sample of what to expect.

All of our blinds are new five-man blinds with dog hides. They have lights and heaters for your comfort. Upon your arrival, the blinds will be clean, dry, brushed and ready to hunt.

Our guides go out early to set the decoys. If the birds like large spreads, you will see a large spread. Sometime you may only see one snow goose decoy. This is our foggy day set. If you have never hunted geese in the fog, all I can say is: bring plenty of shells.

The conservation order hunts will use a 2,000-decoy spread with four electronic callers and sixteen speakers.

The small camp is located on one of our farms. Watch the birds fly over the blind while the grill sears some flying ribeyes (specklebelly breasts) from the screened in porch. The arrangements are bunkhouse style.

The big camp is located about twenty minutes from the big farm. It is a hundred year old renovated fish camp. It has four bedrooms and four baths. It is a short walk from the crab dock. Go buy a box of crabs and boil them back at the camp.

If you are interested in alternative lodging accommodations other than our on-site trailer house, we recommend the “L’Banca Albergo” ( The Bank Hotel ) which is located about 10 miles from our hunting operations in Lake Arthur, Louisiana. Click here for more information.

  • Sense of Humor: “Cause if a Cajun ain’t picking on you, he don’t like you.”
  • Clothing: Camouflaged waterproof clothing. Facemasks and hats are required. Knee boots are all you need. We will transport you to the blind in an ATV. No walking.
  • Shells: We recommend 3” BB for geese and 3” no. 2 for ducks. We use Federal Speed Shock from ShopDunns.com.  They have the best price, free shipping and no tax. “If you hit the bird with a cheap shell, they drop. If you miss the bird with a high dollar shell, they keep flying.”
  • Licenses: We do not have them. We do not have federal duck stamps.
  • Liquor: We do not furnish any alcoholic beverages.  You are welcome to bring your own. There is absolutely NO alcohol before or during the hunt.
  • Dogs: Bring a dog box for your retriever. We don’t have extra kennel space.
  • Food: The kitchens are stocked with the basics for your use. However, we do not cook for you. We have grills, fish fryers and boiling pots on the deck.
